Dear colleague,

the European Association of Nuclear Medicine and the European Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology (ESTRO) have the pleasure to invite you to participate at the first MOLECULAR IMAGING IN RADIATION ONCOLOGY (MIRO) conference (http://www.estro-events.org/ESTROevents/Pages/MIRO.aspx ) that will be held in Brussels (Belgium) on March 18 -20, 2010.

As EU decision-makers will participate at this event, it is of utmost importance for the European Nuclear Medicine Community to show presence. Each participant from the field of Nuclear Medicine can make a difference in the impression that the EU decision-makers take home from this event.

With major emphasis on multidisciplinarity and innovation, this conference will more specifically cover the following topics:
• Methodological approaches in Molecular Imaging
• Molecular imaging for radiation dose painting
• Molecular imaging to decipher tumour biology
• Molecular imaging to personalize treatment in oncology
• New tracers: beyond FDG
• State of the art and future prospects in the clinical use of molecular imaging in radiation oncology

The format of the conference will combine “state of the art lectures”, lectures on innovative approaches, and proffered papers. Ample time will be given for discussions to allow in-depth interactions among the various disciplines and the participants.
