Dear colleague,
as
the early registration deadline (December 16, 2009) is
coming up, we would like to reiterate our cordial invitation
to you to participate at the first
MOLECULAR IMAGING IN RADIATION ONCOLOGY (MIRO) conference
that will be held in Brussels (Belgium) on March 18 -20,
2010 and that is jointly organized by the European
Association of Nuclear Medicine (EANM) and the European
Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology (ESTRO).
As this congress has been organized to define, in
particular, the actual and future role of PET in patients
undergoing radiation therapy, each participant from the
field of Nuclear Medicine can make a difference in the final
conclusions. This will be of utmost strategic importance of
our speciality.
With major emphasis on multidisciplinarity and innovation,
this conference will more specifically cover the following
topics:
- Methodological approaches in Molecular Imaging
- Molecular imaging for radiation dose painting
- Molecular imaging to decipher tumour biology
- Molecular imaging to personalize treatment in
oncology
- New tracers: beyond FDG
- State of the art and future prospects in the
clinical use of molecular imaging in radiation oncology
The format of the conference will combine "state of the
art lectures", lectures on innovative approaches, and
proffered papers. Ample time will be given for discussions
to allow in-depth interactions among the various disciplines
and the participants.
